Completion time:
Completion time typically takes two to six weeks depending on current workload, complexity, number of subjects and size. Artwork will be done in order as taken. If I am unable to make your deadline I will notify you within 24 hours of receiving the order form.
Photos:
I work from photos. The more photos the better (2-6 of each is best) which can give me a better idea of what the person or pet looks like. The better the photos, the better your finished portrait will be. So they need to be as clear as possible. Avoid using a flash if possible because it can wash out detail so outdoor or natural light is best. Eye level and close up shots make for a great photo too. A good photo may be impossible to get if your pet is no longer with you. Let me take a look at what photos you do have to see what I can do.
If you know you would like more than one pet in your portrait and the little angels don't want to cooperate it might be easier for you to take photos of them separately. I can put them together later for you. Although if possible, if you do have a photo of all of them together (that doesn't have to be good) is useful as only reference to show size difference.
I can work from digital, which can be sent by email. It may help to send a few at a time if they are large or your
email provider may have a size limit. Please do not reduce them in size. I can also work from non-digital which
of course will need to be mailed by post. If you don't want to send originals they could be copied to CD or
Jump Drive. All will be returned undamaged with your finished portrait.

Procedure:
available and mail to me by post along with photos. I will let you know I've received your photos and to
finalize your order with an invoice of the 30% non-refundable deposit fee. This will also secure your place
in my work schedule. At this time I can give you an estimated time of when your portrait will be started and finished.
Once the photos have been selected I create a photo mock up by drawing over the photos on the computer with the end results being a drawing of line art. A scan of the mock up is sent to your email for approval and possible changes.
How the mock up will look depends on how you want it so please don't hesitate to let me know if something
isn't to your liking. The mock up is to help you and I get a better idea of what your final portrait will look like
which I also use this to work from.
An update (or updates depending on complexity) will be emailed to you in jpg format of the work in progress.
When portrait is completed I will email a watermarked scan of the drawing for final approval before you
receive the original. Upon approval I will email you remaining balance and insured shipping cost. Once total
is paid I will send your parcel along with photos within 24 hours. If using payment methods other then PayPal your portrait along with photos will be mailed within 24 hours of cleared funds.
I want you to be completely satisfied with your portrait, so if you are not I will work with you until your wishes
are met. Knowing a client is happy with their portrait is so very gratifying to me and have come to realize it's
one of the special rewards I receive for drawing a portrait for you.
Payment Methods:
I accept PayPal, Cashiers Check, Money Order and Personal Check.
For PayPal I use their Invoicing System. I send you an email invoice via PayPal with total amount shown.
An active link is provided with simple instructions to allow payment to be made at their PayPal website.

Shipping:
Your portrait will be mailed flat, not in tubes. I do not profit from shipping charges or charge for packaging materials. It will be insured and shipped to you within 24 hours of payment received or when funds are
cleared if using payment methods other than PayPal. I will ship anywhere worldwide via Fed Ex and UPS.
Shipping will be quoted on a order by order basis.
As you can see all of this takes a bit of time, so please make sure you have allowed for the time necessary
to receive your portrait if you do have a special date in mind. Portraits make very thoughtful and unique
gifts for a lifetime of enjoyment.
Gift Vouchers:
Your gift voucher can be mailed to you or directly to the recipient if you choose. Which ever is best for you.
It will be personalized with the recipients name and whom it's from with the amount and expiration date.
A special occasion message "Happy Anniversary" for example which is optional.
An order form will be placed in the envelope along with gift voucher and my contact information.
